Movie style posters of our favorite trilogy done as a personal project.

Since buying a Cintiq, I never really had a client project that needed 100% hand drawn elements. I've been using it mainly for coloring and detail work. I decided to tackle these movie poster interpretations almost exclusively in Photoshop (sketches were done traditionally though). It was really liberating. I almost don't want to go back to regular vector work :)

These posters are hype! I love all of them. How does the Cintiq working? I wish I could afford once, can never get used to tablets.

Thanks! The Cintiq has been great so far. I hope to utilize it more and more for drawing in the future. I feel like I'm just scratching the surface with how it can influence my work at the moment.

I was using a standard Intuos tablet for 9+ years and was completely satisfied with it (I used it for coloring/texturing). I know what you mean though. Some people just aren't comfortable with the disconnect between screen and drawing surface. The Cintiq will change your mind though :) I hope you can get one in the future!
